Change is Coming

As word gets around about Kony 2012 people are eager to help.

On Wed. 7, 2012, a group invite was passed on to everyone known to have a Facebook. A video called “Kony2012” was posted on this invite and encouraged people to watch the video.

“The video was so inspirational, it’s good that were helping others,” Alysha Andrus, 10, said.

As students watch the video they place donations and buy t-shirts and bracelets to help support the campaign to arrest Joesph Kony. The 30 minute video clip made by Jason Russell talked about Joseph Kony and one child that escaped from the army that Kony had created. 

“A bunch of students are trying to get teachers to help us put posters all over the school and town to help support the Kony Campaign,” Julia Brewster, 9, said.

Many people are going out of their way to talk about Kony and try and help the campaign grow so that Kony can be arrested and the children can go back to their parents. 

“Every child deserves to be with their parents and I want to help make a difference,” Andrus said.
